Purpose of the Event

Around the world, various concepts and initiatives are underway aimed at realizing sustainable lunar activities.
At JAXA as well, based on the “Draft Scenario for Japan’s International Space Exploration 2025,” research and development as well as technology demonstrations are being conducted with an eye toward future lunar activities.
This symposium will present the global vision for future lunar activities and the latest trends in this field, while also highlighting the technologies that support lunar infrastructure and key initiatives such as the LUPEX lunar polar orbiter and the crewed pressurized rover.
As humanity transforms the Moon from a “place to visit” into a “place to work,” what kind of future are we envisioning, and what challenges are we tackling? We are hosting this event to provide you with an opportunity to experience the cutting edge of these efforts.
